Improve performance starting today

“Poor performance is costing our business millions. We need to adjust to market demand and capitalize on opportunities more rapidly. And we need it yesterday.”

Our 3-phase, powered performance process guarantees results

Often, when we’re in discussions with organizations, their first question is: “Why do we need an outside management consulting firm to help us optimize our business?” So here’s the short answer: Using our proven Powered Performance process, we can bring about operational change that takes less time, is less intrusive, and is less distracting than if your internal team does it themselves.

But best of all, our process delivers guaranteed savings to your bottom line.

Conduct an analysis of your company’s operational and financial opportunities.

The heart of the 2-week assessment discovery is assessing your organization's operational culture and finding opportunities. Working closely with your team, we’ll determine the strengths and weaknesses of the existing Management Operating System, your staff’s supervisory skills and behaviors, as well as any process or operational problems that exist. Most clients are excited to learn the magnitude of opportunity we uncover during our assessment phase.

Week 1: Discovery assessment

Using proven methods, we perform comprehensive studies in areas including workflow processes, operating data, systems/ tools, inventory management, cultural issues, labor and equipment utilization, and more. The studies performed by POWERS often uncover chronic operating issues that have become ingrained in your operational culture but have never been adequately quantified to unveil the true cost to your company.

We’ll explain the magnitude of savings, detailed out by line item on the P&L, along with the operational improvements needed to achieve those results. We’ll also specify a guaranteed ROI and cash flow, as well as a process for measuring the savings weekly.

Week 2: Discovery approach

After Discovery we outline the approach, we lay out the facts, and connect the dots with your team to validate the findings and set a course of action to bridge any gaps, eliminate root causes, and develop the roadmap of how to get from the current state to desired future state for their success and delivery of operational results from shop floor to the top floor. You are unique and this requires a custom-built approach that fits your business while maintaining your values and core believes to drive a sustainable performance improvement culture long after the engagement ends.

Once we have uncovered the performance improvement opportunities in discovery, we move to implementation.

Once we complete the Discover phase, the initiative execution and implementation can start quickly. This phase of our partnership is a decision point for you after the Discovery and Findings presentation. We do not ask you to commit until we present the findings from Discovery to you and your team, and we determine an implementation approach. At this point, we provide a key event schedule defining the critical milestones and events, the scope of the engagement, the financial performance tracking methodology, and the duration of the partnership.

We roll up our sleeves and get to work with your front-line leadership and their teams to build a solid level of trust and ensure the plan is understood and embraced by everyone.

We report on the ROI/ savings from our engagement

And finally, we provide a detailed analysis of the real ROI and savings improvements resulting from our engagement. Ultimately, the success of our collaboration with your company is measured using your company’s specific numbers and success metrics, not some fuzzy measure we force on you. Remember, we don’t get paid for our time and activity. We get paid by delivering your organization measurable results. You’ll see firsthand how our savings and cash flow commitments were met (and as is often the case, far exceeded).

We roll up our sleeves, put on our steel-toe boots, and get out on the floor with your team

At POWERS, we help you build a vital bridge between your stated culture and the definable, trainable, and sustainable language, behaviors, and interactions that deliver the performance you need from everyone. We help connect the dots, from shift changes to line maintenance to inventory control – from front-line personnel to the managers and everyone upstream. Our aim is an immediate and sustainable performance improvement that adds directly to your firm’s value.

We can also help you develop and implement your cultural roadmap itself. And with our new CultureWorX application, we put your own tangible, measurable, and sustainable culture metrics right in the palm of your hand.

Truth is, you could.

But do you have the time, resources, and critical assessment abilities to make the improvements you need today? We find that each responsible member of your value chain is typically caught up in the whirlwind of solving each day's challenges and unable to focus on immediate and sustainable performance improvement. That's why we shadow your team during our intensive assessments and walk a mile in their shoes.

Why do we focus on your company culture?

Our years of experience have shown that your company culture (the language, behaviors, and interactions of all your people) significantly impacts your bottom line. Your team’s roles and responsibilities and their ability to carry them out determine your capacity. Without a clearly defined, well-communicated culture, the productivity and efficiency of your company are severely hampered.

In many cases, we find that business culture is merely words on websites and painted on office walls. But your team may have no idea what daily language, behaviors, and interactions will exemplify that culture, nor how embodying that culture will help them meet the capacity metrics on which management bases their success.

At POWERS, we can coach and train your people with the skills and behaviors that not only exemplify your culture but tie it to improving your competitive advantage and optimizing performance. We call it “Operationalizing Culture,” and it’s how we’re able to deliver our clients a significant ROI and performance improvement in months, not years.
